Bank Refunds: Top banker wants pay secrecy

A leading executive at the Royal Bank of Scotland has demanded that bankers' pay is kept secret, the London Evening Standard reports.

Chris Kyle, global banking and markets chief financial officer at the bank has said it would be unfair for the salaries of its best-paid staff to be made public.

"I don't see why the banking industry should be any different to any other industry. I don't see why banks should be singled out," the newspaper reported him as saying.

The comments, which were made at a conference in Singapore, echo those of Peter Sands, chief executive of Standard Chartered Bank who warned the government last week over bank regulation.

Last week's Queen's Speech included new proposals allowing the Financial Services Authority to tear up bonuses which encourage excessively risky practices by bankers.

If you would like to make a credit card charges claim to get back all your late payment / over limit fees in the last 6 years from Royal Bank of Scotland then fill out the Quick Claim or call Belmont Thornton on 0845 526 0000.
