Bank Loans: Metro Bank appoints new commercial banking director

Metro Bank, the first new firm to enter the UK banking sector in 100 year, has unveiled a new commercial banking director.

Mark Price, the former managing director at Barclays Commercial Bank, South, has been appointed as Metro's managing director of commercial banking,

Mr Price expressed his delight at the move, underlining Metro's new approach to banking which focuses on offering excellent customer service.

He said: "The combination of a focus on customer service, experienced local managers making local lending decisions, and face to face banking available seven days a weeks means commercial customers can finally get the best from their bank."

Metro Bank currently has four stores in the UK, with branches in Holborn, Earl's Court, Fulham Broadway and Hertfordshire.

The firm plans to expand rapidly next ten years and open many more branches in the Greater London area before 2020.
