Bank charges: Seven in ten Brits unable to balance priorities

Seven in ten people in the UK are struggling to devote enough time to their life priorities, a survey has found.

Scottish Widows' second annual Priorities of Life Index found that health, wealth and home life are 'neglected' priorities to around 35 million Brits.

Iain McGowan, savings expert at Scottish Widows, said: "We remain in difficult times, with Brits are still unable to give their health, wealth or home life as much priority as they would like.

"Although it can seem daunting, taking the first steps towards improving your financial outlook is vital in getting control of other areas of your life."

The survey found that the top two priorities that people do not devote enough time to are keeping fit and having fun.

It found that the majority of people said they wished they had more time to spend with friends and family.

Around 18 million people also said they are unable to save enough and that they are neglecting their overall financial situation.
