Internet tools 'could help youngsters deal with bank claims'

Young adults struggling to budget their loan claims and credit card charges may wish to look at tools available on the internet.

Chapters Financial Planning director Keith Churchouse pointed out many members of the public would acknowledge the fact that a large number of people find it difficult to control their finances.

He argued the information online could have a helpful role to play in "moving them forward with that planning".

The expert highlighted the Money Advice Service from the Financial Services Authority as one of these online tools.

Mr Churchouse explained this device enables young people to "consider the important elements in their financial planning", as well as methods they could use to budget, which will help them to achieve their cashflow objectives.

The Money Advice Service aims to encourage people to manage their economic situation effectively, operating authoritatively and effectively and working to ensure its operations achieve high levels of leverage among the wider industry and within public policy.
