Bank charges: 'Save money' with roast dinners

People might be able to accumulate a bit more cash to pay off loan claims and credit card charges if they reduce their spending on food.

Singer and actress Suzanne Shaw recommended buying cheap roast dinners, pointing out that Aunt Bessies provide cost-effective meals that are priced under £10.

She advised people to try to ensure leftovers "go further" when they have finished with the food.

While some people think making a roast dinner is "too much time and effort", the former Hear'Say member claimed it "doesn't have to be that difficult".

Parents do not necessarily need to "slog over the stove" to make a good roast dinner, she asserted.

Many men and women will put a roast as their "first choice meal" when asked what they would like to eat, Ms Shaw added.

Furthermore, roasts could be essential to longevity, with 102-year-old Elburton resident Darrell Love citing this meal as the key to his long life.
